My Background

I began my career in graphic design, working in marketing and branding. While I loved creating visuals, I started craving deeper impact. I wanted to design solutions that not only looked good but made life easier for people. That’s when I discovered UX.

I enrolled in General Assembly’s UX Design Bootcamp, where I learned how to turn user research into real-world solutions through flows, wireframes, prototypes, and testing. I'm also learning front-end development to better understand how design and code work together.

What I Bring

  • 🧠A strong visual design foundation rooted in storytelling and emotion

  • A multicultural lens that shapes thoughtful, inclusive design choices

  • Skills in research, journey mapping, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing

  • Tools like Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and basic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

  • A deep appreciation for clean, functional, and user-centered experiences

Beyond UX

Outside of product design, I find joy in many forms of creativity and connection. I run a small Etsy shop where I create custom artwork, including wedding signs and digital pieces. I also share my paintings and personal work on my art Instagram, where I get lost in color, storytelling, and creative flow.

I love traveling, capturing moments through photography, and spending time in my studio making all kinds of art. I'm a big-time foodie and have a food Instagram where I share the dishes and flavors that bring me joy. I’m a competitive but positive person, and I feel most grounded when I’m out on a nature hike, spending time with friends, or relaxing at home with my three cats and plant collection.

I’m also a huge fan of TV and film. I love watching international and American shows and movies that spark creativity and open up new perspectives. Whether it’s design, food, art, or storytelling, I’m always exploring ways to create, reflect, and connect through what I love.

Hello,

I'm Raisa

A Bangladeshi Muslim artist, UX/UI designer, and visual storyteller. Since childhood, I’ve been practicing all forms of art, from painting and calligraphy to digital illustration and design. My mother always encouraged me to express myself creatively, not just with paper and color, but through music, dancing, and movement. She also inspired me to stay active, play sports, and travel. That early support gave me the freedom to create, stay curious, and find inspiration everywhere. It shaped me into someone who values expression, experience, and the stories that connect us all.

I was born in Saudi Arabia, raised in Bangladesh, and grew up in the United States. My identity is shaped by all three places, and I carry pieces of each with me in everything I create. Storytelling, curiosity, and connection guide the way I work. Whether I’m designing a digital product or a physical piece of art, my goal is to create experiences that feel thoughtful, inclusive, and human.

I’m currently open to new opportunities, collaborations, or creative chats.

Drop me a message and let’s talk.
